FIGURES: Been amassing figures over the years and more so lately. Got myself into a diorama mindset and can't shake it. The pickings are not as slim as they once were but have you ever priced Lemans Miniatures "Hawaiian Tropics" race chippies figure sets? How in the hell can a four figure UNPAINTED set be worth the prices they command?? In a lot of places in the world you can get real women for less than those sets of little plastic ones.
Well, ok, I had just about bought every other figure I could find so I bit the big one and bought a few sets. I've cleaned out Flintstone, Preiser, Chimneyville, SE Ltd., et al, so after splurging on the Lemans sets I compared them to my other more... uh...moderately priced.... figures. Are they gold plated? Do they clean your house in their spare time? Nah, they're not even superior in their engraving, I mean how much difference can you find in our scale? I guess the point is, if you're as dumb as me, they're a viable choice but I'd sure not be the one to tell you that you need them.
